1-3pm – Composer-Performer Workshop
How to approach performing and composing with saxophone extended techniques.
Come and see me compose a saxophone orchestra piece on the spot featuring a wide range of students including saxophonists from the Melbourne Conservatorium.

This piece was originally written for erhu by Boyd and I have transformed the work for solo alto saxophone as part of my PhD composer-performer research.

Concert begins with Beaugeais’s First Light at Uluru with the Melbourne Conservatorium Saxophone Orchestra and conductor Joseph Lallo.
