Beaugeais will give a series of lectures on her PhD research analysing the dual role of a composer-performer. She will perform some of her own compositions as well as other Australian composers’ saxophone works written specially for her, including a new work by Assoc. Prof. Bruce Crossman for soprano saxophone and Japanese temple bowl (played by the saxophonist). This piece is dedicated to Australia’s Peter Sculthorpe.
During her time at the RNCM, Beaugeais will also hear the students of the RNCM saxophone department play a range of her solo, quartet and saxophone orchestra music.
